PFE: Programmer's File Editor

I use the Programmer's File Editor (PFE) when working on my LaTeX input files and when invoking LaTeX and dvips.

In memoriam...

Unfortunately, the developer of PFE has stopped with the current version 1.01 after having made certain it works with Windows 95, 98, NT, and 2000. It is still possible to download the binaries, but I genuinely felt bad when I found this out. I wrote my Ph.D. dissertation using PFE, for crying out loud. Eventually, I'll have to find something else, but it's hard to imagine what that might be...
